Financial Need Update

Thank you for your continued prayers and financial support of our ministry in Tanzania! Things have been expanding and advancing for the last 2 months.

We have now invested in two discipleship house properties: one on Ukerewe Island on Lake Victoria and the other is here in Mwanza town. The purpose of these places is to create safe spaces to hold meetings, trainings, and host our disciples/visitors as we continue to advance the ministry in the Lake Zone Region of Tanzania. One room is a classroom, we have furnished bedrooms for hosting local staff overnight, and a fully furnished sitting room, dining room, and kitchen so that we can do local staff retreats so that it is a home away from home, able to accomodate any kind of need (including cooking large amounts of food for community outreach conferences, etc). Homes like this enable ministry vision to expand greatly because of the range of things we can now do utilizing these spaces.

Chrispin and I have recently decided to move to another house in Mwanza after finding a property with two homes on it. One house will be our new family home and the other is now the new Mwanza Discipleship House (the one I mentioned above). This is a LONG time coming and fulfills the vision Chrispin and I had of having a property that was more like a training center where we could live and do ministry, easily hosting people for seminars and trainings.

We are in the process of finding someone to take our current rental home and planning to shift in late September/early October to this new property. We are looking to raise support for the new discipleship house’s rent so that we can keep that home long-term to utilize as a meeting place for all our disciples as well as host our local staff (even ones traveling to Mwanza from Ukerewe Island or further). This house will be about $230/month (about $2,760 a year) to rent. If you have vision to aid in this ministry opportunity, please click a link below to donate towards this project.
